Meets TSO-C126.Product Manual![]() The EBC 406AF is designed for installation in the aft or tail section of a fixed wing aircraft. It transmits on the frequencies of 406.028 and 121.5 MHz. The system comes with a transmitter, portable/survival antenna, mounting bracket, external whip antenna with a 6 foot coax cable, battery pack and Remote Control Monitor with its connector kit. These transmitters have encapsulated electronics and battery packs to provide added protection against shock, moisture and other environmental hazards. A self-test feature is built into the EBC 406AF. This feature allows the pilot to test for output power on both 406.028 and 121.5 MHz, the connection with the antenna, and the condition of the digital signal. The test can be done directly at the ELT or through the Remote Control Monitor. The EBC 406AF is approved by the FAA under TSO-91a and TSO-126, approved by COSPAS/SARSAT and meets FCC requirements under Part 87. Physical Features
